My core training is psychodynamic, but I utilize interventions from several different philosophies, including ACT, DBT CBT, mind and body connection, and mindfulness. I am trained in Nurturing Parenting, and Trust Based Relational Interventions. I hope to assist any and all children, families, teens and adults who are struggling with emotional challenges to find strength, loving connections, and hope in their lives.
As a therapist, I am person-centered, compassion-focused, and believe in the fundamental wellness and potential of all human beings. Trauma and attachment issues are fundamental to my understanding of each person’s experience. I am dedicated to helping those from all walks of life find healthy attachments, emotional strength and loving connections.
As an adopted individual myself, I have a soft spot in my heart for all those who have been touched by adoption. I am deeply aware of the many challenges that adoptive families face and work hard to support adopted children and their families navigate their unique experience with love, confidence, and grace.
