I was drawn to this work because of a deep value for being truly seen and known. The opportunity to help others see and know themselves through therapeutic support is a privilege. My approach is relational and rooted in interpersonal neurobiology, with a focus on attachment. I work collaboratively and gently, because I believe in letting you and your family lead the way in your healing. I don’t think you need fixing - you might just want tools, new perspectives, and another person to carry your story alongside you.

I offer support for children (3+), adolescents, and adults. My work with children is child-centered and largely play-based. I enjoy incorporating sandtray, dollhouse and imaginary play, and art into our time together. For adolescents and adults, I utilize talk therapy, art, and sand tray, blended with elements of DBT and somatic work. I take an active approach in sessions and incorporate education and resources that fit your unique needs.

I have a professional background in child welfare, domestic violence, and school-based mental health, as well as lived experience in unpacking generational trauma and navigating parental separation. I received a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wittenberg University. I have worked with the adoptee community for 6 years in various capacities, including case management, individual mentoring, youth programming, and individual and family counseling.

As a donor-conceived person raised with same-sex parents, I understand the drive to honor both social and genetic history, and the complexities that come with experiences of unknown or misattributed parentage. Being donor-conceived can impact our relationships, understanding of self, and our connection to genetic heritage and identity. Discovering DNA surprises can drastically alter our identities and our sense of the world around us. These experiences are unique and ever-evolving, and questions and new areas of concern may come up at different points in one’s life. Whether you are a parent considering donor-conception, a parent raising a donor-conceived child, or an adult who has discovered or is exploring your donor-conceived, NPE, or MPE identity, I can offer tools and support. My own perspective is complemented by research and consultation with others with lived experience, with the understanding that everyone’s journey brings different challenges and opportunities.
