Cassandra Weisman is a late-discovery donor conceived person with over 17 years of counseling experience, both as a licensed therapist and an interfaith minister. Cassandra specializes in helping children (ages 6+), teens, adults, and couples heal from chronic stress or trauma, including the trauma that comes from DNA surprises. In addition to her experience in the donor conceived community, she has counseled people facing issues related to adoption, infertility, family conflict, and emotionally immature parents. Cassandra uses a mind-body approach, which recognizes that pain impacts our bodies, minds, and hearts, so healing needs to happen on every level as well. She draws on many tools and techniques to support this healing, including internal family systems, somatic experiencing, attachment theory, and narrative therapy.
