Bobi is passionate about working with individuals using a strength-based approach as they overcome, heal, and thrive. She facilitates an understanding focusing on attachment and feeling secure, trauma recovery, and working through grief and loss; providing a safe environment to explore, enhancing healthy identity formation/re-formation. She teaches individuals how to develop and strengthen self-compassion and acceptance after intense emotional news/triggers that can include identification and processing of feelings of fear, abandonment, insecurity, loss, and feeling different than or other than, while establishing/re-establishing a sense of balance once again.

She has 15+ years of experience, providing support to individuals overcoming a range of concerns including; Attachment and Security Enhancement, Adoption*, Surprise Genetic Identity Issues**, Empowerment, Life Changes/Adjustments/ Insecurity, Life Stressors, Anxiousness, Depressed Mood, Grief/Loss, Trauma Recovery, and Neglecting Self-Care.

* adopted person support: planned, hidden, late discovery adoptee, foster care, orphan, stepchild – dealing with grief and loss, coming to terms with the impact of adoption upon the individual, and healthy identity formation and/or re-formation support.

** support people impacted by DNA surprises, genetic identity issues, and misattributed parentage experiences (MPE) which can occur due to an adoption, assisted conception, or those conceived from a non-paternal event (NPE) and promote understanding of the complex intersection of genetic information, identity, and family dynamics.

EMDR: She is  trained in EMDR therapy, which helps to reduce symptoms of trauma and other difficult life experiences. We focus on a specific issue, while using dual attention stimulation to activate the brain's problem-solving process. This desensitizes our brain after a problematic experience, by allowing to reprocess

She has gained in-depth understanding of the issues of those who have experienced ACE’s, complex developmental trauma, attachment challenges, adoption and/or family disruptions or surprises, and the impact upon the individual dealing with these types of experiences. Together you will:

  • Develop and implement actions to take that build upon existing strengths and supports.
  • Identify and expand protective mechanisms and actions to improve adversely affected biological, emotional, and interpersonal functions.
  • Explore the healing of loss, surprise, trauma, security and attachment challenge.
  • Develop and support therapeutic healing and recovery.

Provide psychoeducation of proactive and responsive interventions for finding balance again.
