Emily Gaudet is a board-certified and licensed genetic counselor. She earned her BA in Neuroscience at Hamilton College. After completing her undergraduate studies, Emily joined the faculty at Marianapolis Preparatory School in Connecticut, where she taught Chemistry, Neuroscience, and AP Chemistry, coached the cross country and track teams, and was an academic and residential life leader for six years. During her time as a faculty member she discovered the field of genetic counseling and immediately knew it was how she wanted to continue her career at the intersection of science, education, and humanity. She completed her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling at Boston University, and conducted a capstone project on perspectives of obstetrics providers about expanded carrier screening. Emily’s interest in reproductive genetics was sparked by observations at IVF and prenatal clinics in the Boston area, and working with genetic counselors at Natera, a commercial genetics laboratory.
