Dori takes great pride in helping patients become the narrators of their own stories while on their journey to healing. She’s passionate about working with those that identify as part of a more complex family formation, including those that are a part of the adoption constellation, those that are struggling with an infertility diagnosis and considering donor gametes, and those that identify as LGBTQ or a part of a LGBTQ Family. She’s done extensive research, community organizing and clinical work with these populations for over 15 years.

As an advocate for openness and disclosure of one's origins and family story, her practice has shifted over the past few years to assisting and counseling those that identify as donor-conceived and those that have donated. It was during this time that she uncovered her own family's secrets through 23 and Me and social media searches. Life-altering, she has become even more invested and committed to the special needs and interests of the MPE community. She’s spoken publicly and been published in various media outlets on the topic.

Dori earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Muhlenberg College and a Master's in Social Work from Hunter College.  She has post-graduate certifications in clinical social work, adoption, and maternal mental health and is an active member of the Mental Health Practitioners Group of ASRM and Postpartum Support International.
